Surface Warfare Officer

LT Clayton Roberts

Lieutenant Roberts, a native of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Chemistry. He earned his commission in the Navy in 2002 through Officer Candidate School.

In 2003, upon completion of the Division Officer Course at Surface Warfare Officer School, Newport, Rhode Island, he was assigned to USS BRIDGE (AOE 10). He served as the Electronic Warfare Officer, Combat Information Center Officer and later as Operations Officer. Deploying to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Lieutenant Roberts completed schooling at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command and Naval Power Training Unit Charleston, South Carolina in September 2004. He served as the No 2 Main Machinery Room Division Officer on USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72) homeported in Everett, Washington. Deploying to the Western Pacific and Docking Planned Incremental Availability where he served as the Assistant Main Propulsion Assistant and Machinery Division Work Controls Officer.

In September 2007 he reported as Assistant Professor of Naval Science at Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit University of Idaho and Washington State University.
