Spouse Support Group (SSG) Mission Statement:

The purpose of the SSG of the Navy/Marine Corps ROTC Unit is to provide opportunities for spouses and families of the NROTC Battalion to socialize and develop friendships, provide spouse training, and to foster family awareness in all of our future officers. Military related trainings and briefings, which assists spouses whose sponsors are transitioning to the officer ranks, will serve as a good model for a future family program in a department or platoon. Discussions on how to read an LES, how to prepare for and cope with deployments, handling various social environments, and Navy/Marine Corps history will serve all spouses well. The group will also facilitate referrals to help families meet their needs, and create a library of contacts in the community for future use. The SSG is not an official Ombudsman or Key Volunteer organization.
